In the present situation, deckheads/ceiling panels are painted with a matt or satin finish. When damaged, it is not possible to just repair one panel as this gives a difference in texture and gloss due to the nature of those finishes. When you wrap these panels, it is possible to just wrap one panel when damaged as the wrap is consistent in gloss level and colour. This is a procedure that is easy for the crew to do. There will be several wrap rolls on board for the crew to do the repair with the same material when applied. This will give a substantial saving in the lifetime of the vessel.
