The above-mentioned surface is often treated in a dark color which on some occasions is overcoated with a clear coat system. By replacing the clearcoat (After light sanding) with a transparent foil, you will get a much smoother surface which is much less sensitive to scratches and easier to clean. Due to the limited foil width of 1-8 meters, you only have to be aware of the possibility of a very light joint-line. This can, of course, be situated in a location where it is not visible in normal sight.
